Individuals often encounter a variety of stressful situations or experiences at some point during their lives. Christian Family Counseling, a division of Wisconsin Lutheran Child & Family Service, aspires to relieve suffering and promote healthy relationships through our counseling services. We offer individual, group, family, and couples/marital counseling.
Sometimes there are instances in which it becomes apparent that an individual may benefit from medication, as his or her situation may be influenced or worsened by medical or biological conditions. When such an instance arises, a referral for medication would be made.
The Christian Family Counseling staff consists of licensed therapists (counselors, social workers, and psychologists) with extensive post-graduate training. Our staff integrates Christian truths with evidence-based practices of psychological health to assist your efforts at growing toward a healthier, more satisfying Christian life.
The counseling process consists of two phases. The first phase is the assessment, during which time you will work with your counselor to clarify the focus of your counseling, develop goals for treatment, and discuss appropriate treatment options. The second phase consists of the therapy. The number of sessions varies depending on the individual and the complexity of the situation.
We strive to protect the private information of our clients. As a result, it is our policy not to release the name of, or any information about, any client/family without written permission, or as required by law. Please ask your counselor if you have any questions about our privacy practices.
