What is transition assistance?
(Video-Transition Assistance In Depth)
Transition assistance is a service aimed at helping called workers and their families adjust to the reality of transitioning from public ministry to a different vocational endeavor.
Transition assistance services can be obtained through three different modes of delivery depending on the needs of the individual:
Moving forward
The transition assistance process includes individual assessment of career interests and skills confidence, valuable job search resources, and personal attention and encouragement from a team of trained, caring Christians.
All participants will work closely with WLCFS staff to develop skills and confidence in the following areas:
-
Resume writing
-
Conducting a job search
-
Networking
-
Interviewing
Another helpful component of Transition Assistance is emotional support. Transitioning out of public ministry can be emotionally stressful. It is our goal to comfort and encourage called workers through this challenging time.
